I’m Susan.
Wellness coach, speaker, retired Superwoman, autoimmune disease overcomer, and believer in (and recipient of) miracles.
Hello! I’m Susan Wiesemann (“Wiese” rhymes with “fleece.”). I used to think God was kind of distant and didn’t hear my prayers. That is, until I said a big, bold prayer: “God, show me how I can expand your kingdom here on earth.”
He answered, but not in the way I expected.
Six years ago, my life as I knew it hit the pause button when I got super-duper sick with a mystery illness. I honestly thought I was going to die. But, God is awesome, and He took me on a weird, wonderful journey which ended with me being healed of an “incurable” autoimmune disease. I KNOW. IT’S BONKERS. My healing was an honest-to-goodness miracle — just not an instant miracle. It’s what I like to call a Crockpot miracle. Loooong and slooow.
The root of my illness might surprise you: Quite simply, I was trying to be Superwoman. I was trying to be everything to everyone, and the word “no” didn’t seem to fit into my vocabulary. Plus, I thought God was too far and too distant to have a relationship with me, so I thought I had to do everything in my own strength.
I’ve discovered that I’m not alone. Nearly every Christian woman I’ve met struggles with the pressures of juggling everything life throws at them: careers, family, getting food on the table, hectic schedules, and trying to live out Christian values. We’re so busy putting on everyone else’s oxygen masks that we neglect to put one on ourselves. Every day, we put on our Superwoman capes trying to do everything in our own strength when all Jesus wants is for us to hand our burdens over to Him.
On my journey, I discovered that our minds, bodies, and spirits are connected. I was so busy taking care of everyone else, I’d neglected all three. My body finally cried “uncle.”
Thankfully, God helped me crack the code on how to go from chronically stressed, overwhelmed, and barely surviving to joyful, filled with peace, and thriving. He wants this for you, too. Now, God has me on a mission to help women become the strongest, healthiest versions of themselves and to take their lives from black and white to the boldest technicolor.
If you’ve been sick and doctors don’t know what to do, I’m here to tell you there is hope for you. If you feel like you’ve hit rock bottom, I’m here to say you’re not alone. If you’ve read every self-help book, taken every yoga class, and checked every box off your to-do list and you’re still stressed, I get it. I want to pass the light God gave me on to you.
Now, I’m a wellness coach and speaker who shares tips about living your best life on Instagram, at speaking engagements, and through my newsletter. My goal is to help you (and every woman) heal in every way possible - the same way God healed me - so you can be the woman God called you to be. Click here to choose your own adventure.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
